The Panthers will need more of the gritty, hardened defence they showed in the gutsy win over Melbourne in the preliminary final last weekend if they’re to get over South Sydney in the NRL grand final.

Souths have scored the second most points in the NRL this season (827), more than 100 points better than their grand final opponents (704, 4th in the league). The Bunnies also scored the second most tries for the season with 141, well ahead of the fifth-ranked Panthers (119).

In their previous match-ups this season, the Panthers scored 56 points in round 11 as they routed the Rabbitohs before a comprehensive 25-12 win in round 23 just weeks before the finals began.

But if the qualifying final is anything to go by, it’ll be Penrith’s defensive effort that will dictate who will be victorious come Sunday. Here’s how you can stream the action.
